Music and Arts Administrator - 9-month Maternity Contract. Beginning April 2026 - 31st December 2026

Our client, a well-respected educational institution located in East Sussex is seeking a dedicated Music and Arts Administrator to join their dynamic team.
* Contract Type: Permanent, Non-Term Time (Working throughout school holidays)
* Salary: £26,000 - £29,000 per annum FTE + Excellent benefits including generous holiday allowance, parking, pension.
* Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday - 08:30 - 17:00pm with 1 hour lunch.
As the Music and Arts Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the Music and Drama Departments, as well as providing assistance to the School Office when necessary. Your tasks will include:
Music & Drama Administration Support:
* Assist the Director of Music and Head of Drama with administrative duties.
* Communicate concert and production details to parents through emails.
* Coordinate scheduled music and LAMDA lessons.
* Manage lesson schedules on SIMS and SOCs, including attendance and billing.
* Organise music and drama exam entries and invigilation.
* Order music and equipment as requested by tutors.
* Assist in researching and booking trips for the Music and Drama departments.
* Proofread and enter termly reports on SIMS.
* Take notes during departmental meetings
* Communicate with pupils regarding lesson timings and rehearsals.
* Handle administration for missed lessons
Concerts & Productions Administration:
* Book venues for rehearsals and concerts.
* Collaborate with marketing for event promotion, including programs and tickets.
* Liaise with catering and maintenance for event needs.
What We're Looking For:
o Strong organisational and administrative ability
o A passion for music and the arts (experience or musical appreciation)
o A plus would be knowledge of Music/Drama LAMDA/ Exam entry ABRSM
o Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal
o A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently
o Microsoft Office skills (School software SIMS, SOCs is a plus but not essential)
