Job Title: Special Needs Support Assistant

Leader Education are seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated Outstanding school that supports children aged 3-19.
In this role, you will support children with SEND, including those with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), speech, language, and communication needs, as well as physical and sensory challenges. You will help pupils overcome barriers to learning by delivering targeted support, applying specialist strategies, and ensuring they can fully engage with a rich and well-resourced curriculum.
Pupils follow a primary-based learning model.
The standard working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:40 am to 3:40 pm, and Friday from 8:40 am to 2:40 pm, totalling 31.5 hours per week.

The successful candidate will:
* Possess a current DBS that is on the update system, or be willing to obtain one
* Have relevant/transferable skills and experience
* Assist the class teacher in delivering specialist teaching and interventions
* Help maintain a safe, supportive and stimulating learning environment
* Work closely with the pupils, supporting them with their communication, social and emotional skills
* Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with pupils, parents, and all members of staff
* Be adaptable and committed to meeting the diverse needs of students
