Reports to: Technical Support Team Leader


Employment Details

Type: Full-time

Travel: UK


Technical Support Engineer – Responsibilities

* Provide expert technical support to customers via phone, email, and web.
* Troubleshoot communication systems – including Ethernet, serial, satellite, radio, and cellular.
* Configure and support Campbell Scientific software products.
* Write, test, and support CRBasic datalogger programs to interface with sensors and protocols.
* Deliver engaging training sessions for customers on system operation and best practices.
* Support system testing, documentation, and configuration activities.
* Travel within the UK and internationally to support clients and installations.
* Continually develop your skills in programming, systems integration, and customer engagement.


Essential Skills and Qualities

* A technical background (communications, networking, instrumentation, or similar).
* Strong communication skills – able to explain technical details clearly and confidently.
* A customer‑first mindset with a passion for problem‑solving.
* Team player with a positive, can‑do attitude.
* Full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK.
* Willingness to travel when needed (UK, Europe, and occasionally beyond).


Desirable

* Experience with instrumentation or communication protocols.
* Experience in system configuration or programming.
