Senior Manufacturing Engineer Huddersfield, West Yorkshire Full-time | 37.5 hours per week (Mon–Fri) Travel: Up to 5% (domestic)About the Company & Role Our client is a well-established, global engineering organisation with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, precision-engineered solutions across a range of industrial sectors.Due to continued growth and investment, they are looking to appoint a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their Huddersfield site. This is a key position within the manufacturing engineering team, focused on supporting production and assembly operations, improving manufacturing processes, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.You will work closely with cross-functional teams including design, quality, and operations, playing a vital role in both day-to-day manufacturing support and longer-term continuous improvement and digitalisation initiatives.Key Responsibilities Provide technical support and problem-solving expertise to manufacturing and assembly teamsAct as the key interface between engineering and productionDevelop expertise in gear manufacturing processes (e.g. hobbing, shaping, grinding)Support design for manufacturability and participate in design reviewsLead PFMEA activities, including process mapping and risk mitigationInterpret and produce technical and manufacturing drawingsEnsure manufacturing processes meet quality standards and requirementsDrive continuous improvement across quality, cost, and deliveryDesign and implement tooling and manufacturing methods in line with safety regulationsCollaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders such as suppliers and auditorsCreate work orders and technical documentation packsSupport digital measurement and automation initiatives, including training colleaguesMaintain awareness of heat treatment processes and their impact on manufacturingAbout You Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering roleStrong knowledge of machining processes (turning, milling, boring)Ability to interpret and create technical drawingsGood understanding of GD&T and measurement systemsCNC programming experienceExperience with ERP systems (e.g.
