Job Title: Engineering Stores Co-ordinator
Location: Burnley
Contract:Permanent
You'll control and optimise the engineering stores and processes to provide cost-efficient & effective manufacturing operations.
The Role
* Safety - Accountable for own and team’s adherence to relevant safety standards across all activities (including external contractors)
* Drive asset reliability through comprehensive criticality-based spare part holding.
* Maintain data integrity of Spare Parts register, with all parts classified as A, B, or C, including relevant stock checks & parts kitting.
* Ensure service contracts/external supplier relationships are maintained and supplier effectiveness is reviewed.
* Proficient in Excel.
* Manage storage areas safely and efficiently.
* Manage engineering consumables/lubricants.
* Manage stock within stores policies.
* Apply financial knowledge and data analysis.
* Understand engineering concepts such as Mean Time to Repair, zero stock outs, just-in-time inventory, stock availability, stock turnover, and stock vs. asset replacement value.
* Have knowledge and experience of stores management in an FMCG environment.
* Ensure compliance with Health and Safety / Food Safety systems & legislation (e.g., IOSH) to maintain a safe working environment.
* Utilise IT skills, including Microsoft Office and SAP.
* Develop effective communication and build long-term relationships.
* Anticipate problems through analysis and problem-solving, taking proactive steps to address issues.
* Collaborate with the team to make informed decisions.
