Arden White are partnering with a leading defence company to recruit a Senior HR Advisor on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This hands-on role covers a period of maternity leave, providing high-level HR support across two locations. You will support the HR Business Partners in harmonising practices and integrating two regional HR functions into a cohesive, high-performing team.
Key responsibilities:
Review, update, and maintain HR policies and ensure compliance with UK employment law.
Provide advice and guidance on employee relations, absence management, conduct, and performance.
Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.
Maintain accurate HR records in Workday and use data to support reporting and management decisions.
Support HR projects, organisational change, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential criteria: CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
Experience managing or supporting employee relations cases (disciplinaries, grievances, absence).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build credibility and trust.
Proficiency with HR systems and data reporting (e.g., Workday).
Willingness to work across multiple locations (RAF Shawbury and travel to Kidlington, Oxford).
Desirable: Experience in a generalist HR role within a fast-paced, global organisation.
Experience supporting HR projects and organisational change.
Additional requirements: DBS and SC clearance required.
Compliance with Export Control Regulations.
Legal right to work in the UK.
