Overview & Opportunity:
We are seeking a Compliance Administrator to join a leading North East law firm.
Job description:
You will be involved in adding new matters and clients to the firm's case management system.
This position will allow you to gain experience working in a corporate environment, in one of the North East's leading law firms. The firm has offices in multiple locations in the North of England and are rapidly expanding.
Rose Responsibilities:
* Ensure the firm adheres to SRA rules, anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, GDPR, and other relevant legal frameworks.
* Carry out identity checks, risk assessments, and maintain records for new and existing clients.
* Support the development, rollout, and updating of internal compliance policies and procedures.
* Assist in coordinating training sessions and keeping staff updated on compliance obligations.
* Maintain logs, prepare reports for internal audits or SRA reviews, and assist with breach reporting if needed
* Collating CDD documents into a single PDF file and updating centralised logs.
* Escalating queries as appropriate to the Compliance Officer, COLP or MLRO in a clear and accurate manner.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in a corporate environment
* Experience in compliance administration
* Can manage documentation, deadlines, and compliance calendars
* Clearly conveys compliance requirements to all levels of staff and reports findings
* Understanding of relevant laws and regulations
