We are inviting applications in the Emergency Medicine Department at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust for Trust doctors at CT1/2 Level.
The role is a junior, entirely clinical position within the department. The successful candidate will work with the current team to support and develop the department. Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is committed to providing excellent Urgent and Emergency Care for our population. We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic doctors to provide care in the Emergency Departments and/or our Urgent SDEC (uSDEC).
This is a full-time post with basic hours of 40 hours per week. Applicants wishing to work part-time are encouraged to apply, and rotas will be adjusted accordingly through negotiation.
This role is ideally suited for doctors taking time out after completing their foundation training and interested in a career in emergency medicine to develop their portfolio.
While not recognized training posts, there will be access to regular weekly teaching. The service commitment, supervision level, and educational opportunities will be comparable to those of our existing trainees, mirroring a training post in every way. You will receive excellent training and development opportunities to enhance your career.
You Will Be Expected To
* Comply with the UEC and Trust policies, maintaining your skills and knowledge through CPD.
* Participate in daily training and all other training/teaching activities facilitated by the department.
* Take an active role in clinical audit and the clinical governance process.
* Ensure your practice is up to date, including taking responsibility for your own professional development and participation in the Trust appraisal system.
* Share responsibility for data protection arising from the use of computers.
* Register with the Royal College of Emergency Medicine/Royal College of Medicine for CPD.
