Our client, a leading manufacturing client based in Newcastle, are looking to recruit a number of Electrical Machine Wiring Technicians to join the business on a permanent basis due to business growth. The successful candidates will be responsible for preparation and termination of large cables, harnessing and general electrical assembly duties to produce a range of Subsea and Deck equipment. Candidates will ideally be time served in an Electrical discipline with demonstrable experience in reading Electrical Schematics, panel wiring, soldering, crimping and terminating cabling. - Candidates not qualified with a clear history in similar work will be considered Hours Monday Thursday 6:30am to 3:00pm / Friday 6:30am 12:00pm Any OT worked over 37.5 hours per week are paid at premium rates to boost earnings Average of 10 - 15 hours per Week available - Realistic earnings of £40k Benefits - Free canteen - Breakfast and Lunch Group Income protection & life assurance (3x salary) 25 days holiday bank holidays Bupa Private Health Key Responsibilities: Fit and terminate harnesses to machinery Prepare, lay and install large cabling assemblies. Perform limited troubleshooting and testing of assemblies Ensures assembly/sub-assembly build times are met to maintain department efficiency target of 100% Ensures assembly/sub assembly build times are met for major project schedule Complete all necessary documentation according to the requirements, (including timesheets, ECN etc.) Carry out job tasks safely using good working practices Carry out all assembly work to the required department quality standards Skills & Qualifications: Ideally Time Served in an electrical discipline A good understanding of electrical/electronic systems essential. Strong technical skills in crimping/ terminating cables.
