Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer, Air to Water

Division: Technical

Reporting to: Deputy General Manager

Position: Full-time

SUMMARY:

Technical Sales Engineer will carry out various activities related to the support of distributors and partners in territories in charge [*];which is related to Air to Water, cooperating MHI design/aftersales section and MHIAE sales/aftersales teams and MHI factories under supervision of the section manager.

The job holder will promote new products for distributor’s technical knowledge (creating presentations, organizing product seminars), and conduct various services for products for customers which includes providing service on site, commissioning of product. The engineer is required to continuously improve their comprehension of technical specification of MHI products, and then to promote MHI products. The activities include benchmarking, marketing analysis, product planning, and supporting activity of joint development with European manufacturers.

DETAILS / ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Technical support to distributors / end users / consultants
2. Respond to technical inquiries by e-mail or phone without any delays
3. Investigate the unit troubles/claims by analyzing operations data with utilizing service tool
4. Visit site(s) for commissioning / trouble shooting for end users/distributors
5. Visit distributors’ / customers’ office to provide response(s) to their inquiries/ support their activities
6. Check the drawing of projects (unit / pipe / electrical installation), setting, and check the operation data
7. Submit reports for technical supports for site visits
8. Support spare parts activities for the account management team to improve spare parts delivery
9. Calculate performance and/or cost-saving benefits
10. Submit technical sales proposals
11. Organize maintenance scheme
12. Visit sites for water sampling, water analysis to improve products
13. Collaborate with European manufacturers to provide solution to enhance the sales of MHI products
14. Maintain the collaboration with European manufactures (Water tank, Plate heat exchanger,
15. Research the Sales solution/Service solution for MHI products
16. Share the knowledge among the business partners (System design, etc)
17. Register subsidy schemes / certification programs
18. Register products to national subsidy schemes, quality certification schemes and other country requirements
19. Maintain subsidy schemes / certification programs
20. Arrange and supporting random tests / factory audit accordingly as requested
21. Research subsidy schemes / certification programs
22. Prepare MHI technical supports documents (in English and in other European languages)
23. Propose ideas to improve technical documents for distributors
24. Create new service tools
25. Support MTH/MACO design section/service section activity
26. Promote MHI products
27. Introduce of new products highlighting features and benefits;
28. Create presentations for distributors / customers
29. Organize seminars for distributors / customers;
30. Help to create new brochures / leaflets for the territories.
31. Survey the market information for new products
32. Benchmark competitors’ new products continuously and making comparisons;
33. Survey relevant standards / regulations / EU directives;
34. Visit exhibitions to investigate new products / market information;
35. Attend relevant seminars / meetings relating to heat pump industry associations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING:

36. Degree in Engineering (preferred)
37. Technical experience within A2W, minimum 3 years
38. Fundamental understanding of water system for sanitary and heating
39. Knowledge of heat pump and water systems
40. Knowledge of regulations and EU directives related to boilers and/or heat pumps
41. Knowledge of VRF system/chiller could be beneficial

· Strong interpersonal and communications skills

42. Fluent English, both oral and written
43. Strong communication skills
44. Strong problem solving skills.
45. Multi-tasking
46. Knowledge of other European language(s) is beneficial.
47. Prioritising skills
48. Understanding of customer requirements
49. Has knowledge of PC (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
50. Create and carry out presentations;
51. Analyse operation data of the products.
52. Business trips across Europe with a short notice will be required
53. Status to travel Europe without visa is required.

Location: Stockley Park, Uxbridge.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 9am – 5pm (35 hours per week, 1 hour lunch break)
