We’re helping a well-established business in Huddersfield find an experienced Payroll Assistant to join them on a temporary basis. If you’re confident with payroll processes and can hit the ground running, this could be a great fit.
Payroll Assistant - What you’ll be doing
* Supporting the end-to-end payroll process across multiple pay runs
* Handling starters, leavers, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.)
* Responding to payroll queries from staff and managers
* Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and internal procedures
* Assisting with payroll reconciliations and reporting tasks
* Working closely with the HR and finance teams
Payroll Assistant - What we’re looking for
* Experience in a payroll-focused role
* Solid understanding of UK payroll regulations
* Comfortable using payroll systems (e.g. Sage, ADP, or similar)
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Proactive, reliable, and organised with good communication skills
Payroll Assistant - What’s on offer
* Hourly rate equivalent to £25,000–£29,000 DOE
* Full-time temporary contract
