A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SOUS CHEF AT OUR HOTEL What you'll be doing Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and kitchen operations. Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency. Oversee food production, portion control, and presentation to hotel brand standards. Support menu development. Maintain inventory levels, monitor stock usage, and support ordering processes. Enforce food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in compliance with HACCP and hotel policies. Train, mentor, and evaluate junior chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence. Assist in managing labor costs, food costs, and kitchen budgets. Step in and lead kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU A skilled chef with experience in a fast-paced kitchen and a passion for great food. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop the team while maintaining high standards.
