Building Surveying Graduate – Leeds (September 2026 Start Date). This is a graduate programme with a 24-month trainee path toward the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) to become a Chartered Building Surveyor at JLL.

Our graduate programme provides first-hand experience while working toward a professional qualification. You will join on a 24-month trainee programme and work toward completing the APC to become a Chartered Building Surveyor.
What your day-to-day will look like
* Visiting sites to complete Building Surveyor inspections
* Completing desktop survey research about sites
* Preparing reports following inspections to outline the state of the property/site
* Acting as a Contract Administrator and Employer’s Agent on fit-out and refurbishment contracts
* Negotiating schedules of dilapidations and preparing exit strategies for required repair work
* Helping with planning preventative maintenance plans
* Assisting with the coordination of portfolio instructions and undertaking other duties as reasonably required
* Keeping knowledge up to date with building and sustainability standards, legal knowledge, and building pathology

Required Skills and Experience
* GCSEs – C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Building Surveying accredited by RICS
* Interest in the property industry and its future
* Strong verbal and written communication for reports
* Project management skills to balance work and meet deadlines
* Some travel required
* Curious mindset to learn and grow with us
* Willingness to contribute ideas and challenge yourself

* Permanent right to work in the UK with no time restrictions or limited hours; visa sponsorship is not available beyond the programme
Location: Leeds
Estimated compensation for this position is: £28,000. The salary is an estimate and not guaranteed and may vary based on factors including education, experience, skills, and location.
