Job Description
As the HR Director, you will be a strategic partner to the leadership team, shaping company culture and employee experience while aligning HR practices with business goals. This role involves strategic leadership and hands-on HR management, overseeing the employee lifecycle, talent acquisition, development, compliance, and engagement.
This is a part-time role (approx. 3 days/week), based in Cambridge, with some travel to the Netherlands team as required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
Partner with the CEO and leadership team to develop and implement a people strategy aligned with company growth. Act as a trusted advisor on workforce planning, talent development, and organizational structure. Drive a culture of high performance, innovation, and collaboration.
2. Talent Acquisition & Development
Design and execute recruitment strategies for engineering, operations, and commercial talent. Implement onboarding, career development, and performance management programs. Foster leadership and technical capability development.
3. Culture & Employee Engagement
Develop strategies to boost engagement and retention. Ensure company values are embedded in daily operations.
4. Operational Excellence & Compliance
Oversee HR operations, including compensation, benefits, immigration, and policies. Ensure UK employment law compliance. Improve HR systems for scalability. Collaborate on health & safety policies. Oversee HR in the Netherlands to ensure consistency.
Requirements
* Experience in HR management, preferably in high-growth tech or engineering sectors.
* Proven leadership influencing senior stakeholders and driving people initiatives.
* Strong knowledge of employment law, organizational development, and talent management.
* Experience embedding company values and fostering a positive culture.
* Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments with a proactive approach.
