About Our School
Based in the heart of Blackpool, our school is a place where every child is given the best start in life. We are a highly inclusive setting that celebrates diversity and firmly believes that a child's background has no bearing on their potential to succeed.
As a Nurture UK partner school, we are actively developing the six principles of nurture to support the holistic development of every child. Reading is our greatest priority; we are passionate believers in the Read Write Inc. Phonics scheme and foster a deep love for literacy through regular author visits and a "reading for pleasure" culture.
The Role
We are looking for a dedicated Year 5 Teaching Assistant who shares our commitment to inclusivity and academic excellence. This role requires a balance of general classroom support and 1:1 intervention, ensuring that every student regardless of their specific needs can thrive in Upper Key Stage 2.

1:1 & Group Support: Providing "side-by-side" assistance to help students navigate varied learning needs and keep pupils on track with the KS2 curriculum.
Classroom Partnership: Assisting the Class Teacher with setting up lessons, preparing resources, printing, and maintaining an organised learning environment.
Holistic Care: Working alongside our committed Nurture Team to support the social and emotional well-being of our students.
Professional Standards: Maintaining accurate progress records and ensuring safeguarding and pastoral duties are kept up to date.
Requirements
Qualifications: A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential.
Experience: Previous experience within a school setting and a strong grasp of the KS2 curriculum.
Values: A nurturing approach that aligns with our inclusive ethos and a commitment to building strong partnerships between home and school.
Skills: Ability to adapt support for a range of different needs and a proactive attitude toward resource preparation and classroom management.
