We are looking for a Technical Manager to join a fast expanding business. Working at the London Head Office you’ll ensure that the supply chain from supplier to customer is as seamless as possible and all eventualities have been considered.
In this pivotal role, you will take the lead in nutrition and allergen management while cultivating robust relationships with esteemed suppliers.
As the ideal candidate, you bring a wealth of experience in the food sector, encompassing retail, manufacturing, and QSR or Food Service. Your expertise extends to centralised distribution systems, effective supplier management, a thorough understanding of HACCP and quality procedures, advanced knowledge of food hygiene practices, and the ability to distil complex technical issues into clear and actionable insights.
Key Accountabilities:
1. All customer communication relating to nutrition and allergen information.
2. Working with the development team to ensure the products developed can be implemented in line with company and legal food safety guidelines
3. Specification management
4. Supplier management and product quality compliance
5. Ensuring the quality, safety and legality of all food products
6. Building great relationships with suppliers to ensure they meet high standards
7. Drive ethical compliance of all supply partners
8. Drive quality standards with suppliers and restaurant teams
9. Supplier auditing
10. Sign off retail packaging, ensuring it adheres to UK legislation
Person Profile:
11. Previous experience in a technical role within manufacturing and QSR/ food service
12. Excellent knowledge and experience of HACCP & quality procedures
13. Advanced food hygiene
14. Experience of managing NPD projects
15. Supplier management/auditing skills
16. Experience of working with and managing Quality Management Systems
