Job Summary
North East Shropshire market town. Friendly, forward‑thinking, progressive training practice working from a purpose‑built spacious health centre (2005). Drayton Medical Practice is looking for an enthusiastic part‑time Salaried GP of up to 6 sessions. ANP, UCP, Physician Associate and Pharmacists contribute a vital role in serving a diverse population of circa 18,000 patients. Minor Injuries service. North Shropshire PCN and partner practice of Our Health Partnership. EMIS total triage model. Job includes pro‑rata extended hours commitment. Tier 2 visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all patients.
* Make yourself available in accordance with the practice timetable for surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, home visits, dealing with repeat prescriptions, paperwork and correspondence.
* Make professional, autonomous decisions regarding presenting problems, whether self‑referred or referred from other health‑care workers within the organisation.
* Assess the health‑care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
* Develop care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease‑management protocols.
* Collect data for audit purposes and prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary.
* Attend training and events organised by the practice or other agencies, where appropriate.
Qualifications and Experience
* Fully qualified GP with GMC registration.
* Inclusion on the NHS England performers list.
* Experience of working in a primary‑care environment.
* Experience of continued professional development.
* Experience of QOF and clinical audit.
* General understanding of the GMS contract.

Contract and Remuneration
Permanent, part‑time. Salary: £12,574 per session. Tier 2 visa sponsorship available.
