Supporting the Senior Finance Manager and Group Financial Controller, you'll streamline processes, drive efficiencies, and partner with stakeholders to support a high-growth, fast-paced organisation. Key Responsibilities Own Monthly Accounts: Prepare accurate monthly accounts for the UK, adhering to group timetables and accounting policies. Deliver Insights: Investigate and prepare variance reports, providing actionable insights by comparing actuals to budgets and forecasts. Drive Efficiency: Manage key month-end processes, including journals (accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, HP), and work on improving systems to enhance reporting and control. Collaborate with Budget Holders: Build strong business partnerships by preparing and managing monthly departmental reports, ensuring alignment with budget holders. Support Strategic Planning: Assist in preparing and reviewing budgets and forecasts, helping to shape the future of the business. Cashflow Management: Support cashflow preparation and monitoring, ensuring financial stability and efficiency. Streamline Compliance: Prepare/review VAT and Intrastat returns, and deliver timely monthly balance sheet reconciliations with prompt resolution of issues. Year-End Excellence: Prepare year-end schedules and liaise with external auditors to meet agreed deadlines. Cross-Functional Support: Provide cover for Morocco, Spain, and other entities as needed, ensuring seamless operations across the group. Payroll Oversight: Review monthly payroll processing by third-party providers and guide the weekly payroll team. Champion Process Improvements: Take an active role in developing and implementing improved financial information systems and processes, driving continuous transformation.
