Bookkeeper / Office Manager (Part-time)

FWAG South East is an experienced team of Farm Environment Advisers who support farmers to protect and enhance the environmental assets of their land.
About the role
This key new role combines responsibility for overseeing the financial transactions of the Company and maintenance of accurate financial records alongside managing the day-to-day office operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Maintain and reconcile financial records, including ledgers and bank statements
* Prepare and send invoices
* Process payments and expenses
* Ensure bills are paid promptly, monitoring debtors and chase, as required
* Prepare monthly financial reports and cash flow summaries for the Directors
* Manage accounts payable and receivable
* Contribute to the development of internal financial systems and monitoring
* Oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the office
* Act as the point of contact for clients, suppliers, and service providers
* Implement and maintain office procedures and systems
* Support the team with document preparation, grant applications and client billing
* Support the team with the preparation and running of events
About you
* You will have a bookkeeping or accounting qualification eg AAT along with proven experience in bookkeeping and office administration
* You will have experience of using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks as well as Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel)
* You will have excellent organisational and time management skills, be able to manage a mixed and varied workload and organise tasks according to priority
* You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to interact with a broad range of people and communicate effectively and credibly
* You will have a flexible and adaptable approach and be a supportive team member
* Experience or an interest in working in the agriculture or rural consultancy sector would be an advantage
Hours of work will be 22 hours per week worked flexibly over 3 or 4 days but would need to include Monday. Salary range will be £16,427 - £19,947 pa (£28,000 to £34,000 pa fte).
