Role Overview
To support the Store Manager in achieving the Company objectives by providing excellent customer service, maximising sales, establishing efficient methods of operation and maximising profitability, whilst always ensuring full compliance with Company procedures. You will also support with inspiring, training and coaching a team of sales consultants. In the absence of the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager will lead from the forefront and take ownership of the stores' performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with your Store Manager in driving & motivating the store team to achieve & exceed sales targets and KPI's.
* In collaboration with the Store Manager, analyse your store's performance and react accordingly, liaising with Area Manager or Regional Director where appropriate.
* Develop plans and local initiatives to improve the store's performance and contribution to the overall company results, as well as actively promoting the company and the store in the local marketplace.
* Help to manage a team of consultants by training, coaching, delegating and empowering them to provide excellent customer service in a friendly environment.
* Take a lead role in resolving customer queries and complaints.
* Lead by example in ensuring compliance with all Company procedures.
* Alongside the Store Manager you will be responsible for the stock inventory, with a view to minimising any stock loss.
* Always be aware of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your actions at work.
* Ensure that all products are presented/displayed to their best advantage, in line with Company and Brand Visual Merchandising guidelines, as well as ensuring that all products are correctly coded, priced, and correct POS is always used.
* Continue to develop self and role by studying relevant training materials and store information as well as attending any training sessions that may be required.
* Carry out any reasonable tasks as requested by Store Manager/Area Manager/RD.
* All the above to be carried out in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
Preferred Experience (full training will be given.)
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent or have a business-related qualification.
* Experience in a supervisory or management capacity.
* Experience in driving performance & sales with an understanding of KPIs
* Good Operational skills, for example following VM guidelines and being commercially aware.
* Flexibility to include evenings and weekends as the needs of the Business require
