Youll play a vital role in safeguarding and supporting two children and young people aged 618, many of whom have experienced early trauma, neglect, or emotional and behavioural challenges. ?? What Youll Be Doing: Provide a safe, nurturing, and stable overnight environment Respond calmly to incidents or emotional distress during the night Keep accurate records, observations, and handovers Support the homes routines, ensuring comfort, dignity, and consistency for the young people Work closely with the day team to maintain consistent care ?? What Were Looking For: 12 months waking night experience in a childrens residential or similar setting A passion for improving the lives of children with complex needs Resilience, emotional maturity, and a calm, confident approach to challenges A good understanding of safeguarding practices Experience managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour A full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential due to location) Ideally, a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or a commitment to gaining it with our support ?? Salary & Shift Patterns: Pay Rates: Level 2: £31,296.72 (12 months experience without L3) Level 3: £32,388.72 (with 50% L3 qualification completed) Level 4: £34,332.48 (with completed L3 qualification) Shifts: 12-hour waking night shifts: 20:00 08:00 42 hours per week average, following a two-week rolling rota: Week 1 (Long): Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun Week 2 (Short): Wed, Thu Includes every other long weekend off for great work-life balance ??
