Senior Care Assistant – Nights
Location: South Moor Lodge Care Home, Walkeringham, DN10 4LD
Salary: £15.84 per hour (£14.84 per hour for 18–21 year olds)
Hours: Full Time (7pm‑7am, 3 shifts per week, including alternate weekends)

About South Moor Lodge
South Moor Lodge is situated in the village of Walkeringham, 5 mi west of Gainsborough. The 41‑resident home is based around a nineteenth‑century barn, extended in keeping with its character, and sits on two acres of landscaped grounds, providing personal and dementia care.
Role Responsibilities
* Provide the highest possible level of care and support residents in all aspects of daily living.
* Promote residents’ independence with a focus on choice, dignity and respect; contribute during shift handovers.
* Lead the shift, ensuring high standards and supporting team members.
* Complete daily medication rounds and documentation to a high standard; ensure daily charts meet audit requirements.
* Promote good practice, challenge poor practice, conduct one‑to‑ones every two months and investigate complaints as directed by the Home Manager.
Role Requirements
* Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ level 3).
* Minimum of two years’ experience as a Care Assistant in a residential/nursing home setting.
* Knowledge of person‑centred care planning principles.
* Understanding of abuse prevention, recognition of abuse signs and procedures.
* Reside within 30 minutes of the home.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Care‑giving and nurturing attitude.
* Positive and enthusiastic outlook.
* Time‑management skills.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
