Our ICT team combines deep consulting expertise with innovative technology to develop cutting-edge solutions for the global insurance industry. The market-leading risk and financial modelling software we develop is used by over 1,000 clients across six continents.
Our 1,700 ICT colleagues in 35 markets share one mission – to innovate and transform insurance. To make this a reality, we deliver solutions that help our clients better select, finance and manage risk and capital. We develop software solutions that support insurance companies and other businesses that require sophisticated machine modelling and analytics processes as they confront volatile markets and regulatory changes. Our work underpins complex financial activities ranging from asset-liability modelling, pricing and reserving to economic capital aggregation and allocation.

Responsibilities
Joining us for eight weeks, you'll build invaluable real-world experience at the heart of our Insurance Technology business. You'll work with and learn from our industry-leading experts, while:
* Experiencing our collaborative and innovative approach to engineering
* Contributing to a business-applicable project that covers a wide range of software delivery technologies and processes
* Taking on more responsibilities as you grow, in areas such as performance benchmarking, testing, DevOps and security.
* Presenting your work and findings to colleagues and your fellow interns
* Learning every day with the support of your colleagues and dedicated mentors
This is the perfect opportunity to understand what you could expect if you joined our graduate programme the following year; those who perform well during the internship may be offered a permanent graduate role.
Qualifications
To transform your tomorrow with a WTW internship, you'll need to be:
* In your penultimate year at university and on course to achieve a 2:1 degree in a technical, analytical or mathematical discipline
* Aware of a software development language, such as C#, C++, Java or Python, and web technologies such as HTML/CSS or JavaScript
* Familiar with the basic principles of software development
* Genuinely interested in current and emerging technologies
* A natural problem solver with a mathematical and analytical mind
* Good at communicating and working as part of a team
* Eager to gain and apply new knowledge
Workstyles
We believe in the value of in-person learning at this early stage of your career, so you'll be expected to come into the office at least three days a week.
