Vacancy Description
* Follow an agreed work programme as determined by the lead officer for the apprentice.
* Undertake a nationally recognised Level 6 integrated apprenticeship qualification, including attendance at training and other events, which may be delivered locally or regionally.
* Support colleagues across Environmental Health in daily service delivery while gaining an in-depth understanding of the work.
* Work under supervision and guidance to engage with residents, businesses, and other service users to provide advice and assistance.
* Own and be responsible for completing tasks to established standards and quality expectations.
* Collaborate with team members on tasks, projects, and programmes to deliver service priorities.
* Maintain accurate electronic and manual records, prepare written statements of evidence for legal proceedings, and attend court as necessary.
* Write up findings and develop portfolios of evidence.
* Establish and portray a professional image of the department with a customer-focused ‘can do’ attitude, setting expectations for issue resolution and demonstrating willingness to go the ‘extra mile’.
* Maintain effective communication with colleagues and customers.
* Carry out other tasks appropriate to the role or to support the achievement of the degree qualification.
* Perform any other duties within the scope and grading of the post as requested by the line manager or Head of Service.
