About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate EAL Tutor to join a secondary school setting, supporting students with English as an additional language. This is a rewarding opportunity to help students overcome language barriers and fully access the curriculum.
The successful candidate will provide targeted small group and one to one support, helping students develop their English language and literacy skills while building confidence and engagement in learning.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver small group and one to one EAL support sessions
• Support the development of students’ literacy skills across the curriculum
• Plan and deliver inclusive and adaptive learning sessions
• Work collaboratively with teachers to support students in lessons
• Build positive relationships with students to promote confidence and engagement
• Monitor progress and adapt support strategies where required
• Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
• Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting
• Understanding of the needs of students with English as an additional language
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• Patient, adaptable, and supportive approach
• Commitment to helping students achieve their full potential
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
