Job Description
Assist in the daily preparation of food for a variety of meal plans at various establishments across East Ayrshire to support the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council's key objectives, including the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.
Requirements
The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, to update their PVG Scheme Record before a formal offer of employment is made. PVG records are constantly updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
This is a temporary, part-time, term-time position based at Darvel Primary School, working 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm. The hourly rate is £13.48. The position is temporary until 30th April 2026.
