This move positions them as part of a national network with larger resources hence the expansion plans, while this acquisition helps with their expansion, they are focused on maintaining its local SME focus and strong regional identity.

Responsibilities:

* Plan audits in advance, ensuring key risks are addressed and objectives are met.
* Lead audit assignments, ensuring adherence to client deadlines and budget constraints.
* Involved with managing the workflow of the audit team.
* Hold a significant portfolio of clients and provide regular contact with them to maintain a good client relationship.
* Prepare complex consolidated financial statements and high-level accounting work.
* Allocate responsibilities within the audit team during audit planning.
* Ensure compliance with both internal and external audit requirements.
* Manage work-in-progress (WIP), billing, and job efficiencies with a strong commercial mindset.
* Attend audit planning and close-out meetings alongside the leadership team.
* Conduct audits for commercial and not-for-profit clients, leading teams of up to five people.
* Draft management letters to clients, recommending improvements to accounting systems and controls.

Requirements:

* ACA or ACCA qualified with relevant audit experience in a practice environment.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
* Full UK driving licence and access to independent transport.
