Are you an experienced Assembly Technician or a hands‑on Production Operative with prior experience working with hand‑tools in a manufacturing/engineering plant?

Location: Dewsbury (easily commutable from Wakefield, Horbury, Brighouse, Morley, Cleckheaton, Tingley, North Huddersfield).
State: Potential 18 week Temp‑to‑Perm contract of service (like a probationary period)
Pay: Starting £12.60 per hour, rising to £13.59 after an initial 4 week training period.
Hours Guide:
• Mon‑Wed: 07:00–17:00, Thurs: 07:00–16:30 (37.5 hours standard, weekly paid)
• Optional overtime often available on Fridays (at Time+1/2)
What the Assembly Technician involves:
When this opportunity comes live in January 2026, you could be involved in a wide range of practical tasks:
* Assembling components using various hand and power tools.
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
* Working with various materials, including steel, copper and plastic pipework (conduits, ducting, and pipe spooling).
* Performing quality inspections and adhering to strict Health & Safety protocols.
* Operating cranes and FLTs (Forklift Trucks) – a bonus, but not essential.

Who We Are Looking For - Assembly Technician
We are interested in hearing from mechanically or electrically minded individuals with a practical background and a thirst to learn.
* Practical experience with tools and machinery in an engineering, manufacturing or workshop environment.
* Experience in roles such as Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Engineering Labourer, Semi‑Skilled Worker, Assembly Operative (engineering) or Mechanical/ Electrical Assembly Operative.
* Ability to read technical drawings or a strong willingness to learn.
* A detail‑oriented, safety‑conscious and team‑focused attitude.
