Field Service Engineer – Software, AutomationLocation: Midlands (Field-Based, UK Travel)Salary: £44,000 + Annual bonus 10% of salary + New Company Car + BenefitsThe OpportunityAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer to join a global engineering business, supporting industrial tooling solutions across a UK-wide customer base. This is a field-based role offering autonomy, variety, and strong long-term career development.The Role
* Installation, commissioning, and servicing of industrial tooling equipment
* Fault finding and performance optimisation on pneumatic, battery, and DC tools
* Support network installations and PLC integrations
* Calibration, testing, and certification of tools
* Preventative maintenance and pre-delivery inspections
* Customer-facing role with responsibility for resolving technical issues end-to-end
* Identify service and upgrade opportunities and support wider sales activity
* Complete job reports, documentation, and service records
The Candidate
* HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
* Experience with industrial power tools or within a manufacturing/service environment
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Able to work independently in a field-based role
* Good communication and customer-facing skills
* Full UK driving licence
* Flexible approach to travel, including occasional overnight stays
