Offer description

Organisation UK Sports Institute Salary £44,196 p.a Location Bisham Abbey Contract type Permanent (Full time) Closing date 29 March 2026 Interview date 8 April 2026 Job Description This is a unique opportunity to work in an environment where your ability to connect directly with athletes, and deliver based on pure S&C principles will be highly valued. An environment where you will work in an interdisciplinary manner on a daily basis, alongside biomechanists, physiotherapists, sports physicians, psychologists, physiologists, nutritionists, and medical administrators. An environment of high challenge, but high support, where you could be the latest in a long line of exceptional coaches who have grown within their roles at the Intensive Rehabilitation Unit (IRU), and have gone onto flourish in their careers.

Since 2022 Performance Rehabilitation have had the privilege of supporting the rehabilitation and return to performance of over 150 incredible athletes, alongside their respective sport performance support staff. 39 of these athletes have gone onto represent Team GB/Paralympics GB in Paris and Milano-Cortina, including 15 Olympic and Paralympic medallists.

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Strength and Conditioning Coach to optimally support athletes aiming to compete in LA 2028 and the French Alps 2030. The Performance Rehabilitation Team operates out of the IRU at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre. We are looking for a full time candidate based at Bisham Abbey, with the ability to travel within the UK on a sporadic basis.

This role will support the Performance Rehabilitation Clinical and Human Performance Leads in the strategic development, delivery, and evaluation of world-leading diagnostics and rehabilitation services to optimise athlete reconditioning and preparation for performance following injury. It is expected that this role will work autonomously, leading areas of physical preparation and as such will be required to make and contribute to decisions in complex rehabilitations.

In addition to athlete facing delivery, managing sport stakeholder relationships will be crucial for this role, as it will lead and support initiatives and projects, and provide specialist advice and expertise not only within the Performance Rehabilitation Team, but also across the wider High-Performance System (HPS).
