Vacancy Introduction
This role will be working within the Clinical Systems Management team as a systems administrator supporting the clinical, administrative, and information governance processes to ensure the safe management of electronic patient records within the Trust. Supported by a team of Clinical Advisors and other systems administrators, with a particular focus on managing complex merges, the post holder will be required to work autonomously, flexibly, productively and cooperatively to deliver a quality systems support service.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of the Systems Support service desk team to administer electronic patient record systems.
* Focus on processes for patient records where a new NHS number is issued, or records are created without the use of an NHS number.
* Liaise and build relationships with key stakeholders and act as a key point of contact for services within LCH and externally with GP’s, the ICB and social care where there are issues relating to the management of electronic health records.
* Work proactively and reactively in a Support Service environment, responding to issues.
* Work with clinicians to configure and administer clinical systems with the aim of improving data quality and delivering a quality support service.
Qualifications
* Experience in using electronic clinical systems.
* Understanding of the complexities of children and young people moving through the adoption process, records management following gender reassignment, and other intricacies where electronic records can become confused.
