We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Director to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Aldridge. As an Operations Director, you will oversee all operational aspects of the strategy, helping set strategic goals and be responsible for the operational divisions of projects, warehouse & logistics, and restorations workshop throughout the organisation.
This newly created opportunity will oversee all operational activities of the company to ensure that business objectives are met efficiently and effectively. As a key member of the Senior Leadership team, you will ensure the successful execution and delivery of all projects, managing order processing, quality control, fulfilment, and distribution.
Key duties and responsibilities....
* Lead the Operations team, ensuring team members are informed, motivated, and trained to carry out their responsibilities to the required standard.
* Act as a Lean ambassador and advocate, ensuring all operational processes are effective, efficient, and continually reviewed for improvement.
* Oversee Quality Control to ensure that finished goods are of the required standard before being returned to clients.
* Key involvement in the design and implementation of new project scheduling system.
* Develop and control operational budgets to deliver monthly revenue targets and achieve profitability targets whilst ensuring that the company has the resources required to meet its objectives within agreed financial parameters.
* Manage the Operational budget and forecasting on a weekly basis
* Act as the Company’s key adviser on all issues relating to the Operations function and keep abreast of best practice to ensure the Company remains competitive.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that the Operations function achieves the required business objectives, whilst ensuring a safe and healthy working environment is maintained.
* Build and maintain relationships with the wider Leadership team to ensure effective co-ordination of all Company activities.
Requirements
* A degree or equivalent professional experience
* 5 years senior operations experience
* Ideally experience of remote project management with a knowledge of construction
* In depth knowledge of operations processes
* Proven leadership skills
* Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills
* Thorough attention to detail and a desire to continually improve
* Resilience, determination and positivity
Hours: Mon – Friday 8:00am – 4.30pm
Benefits
* Salary of £70k - £80k
