Overview
The Steward plays a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of the premises. This position involves monitoring activities, preventing loss, and ensuring a safe environment for all guests and staff. The Steward will be responsible for conducting regular surveillance and responding to incidents as they arise, contributing to an overall secure atmosphere.
Duties
* Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for any suspicious activity or potential hazards.
* Utilise CCTV systems to observe and record activities, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
* Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage to property.
* Respond promptly to incidents, providing first aid assistance when necessary and coordinating with emergency services if required.
* Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any actions taken during shifts.
* Collaborate with team members to enhance security measures and improve overall safety procedures.
Skills
* Proficient in surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
* Experience with CCTV systems and monitoring equipment.
* Strong knowledge of first aid practices and emergency response procedures.
* Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during shifts.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for reporting incidents clearly.
