Mode Search is supporting a leading global premium fashion brand in the search for an Area Manager to oversee 4 of its London stores. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, people-first organisation known for its exceptional customer experience, strong brand values, and commitment to developing high-performing teams.


The position is based in London, overseeing 4 stores across the City. The role will be predominantly field-based.


It is a full-time role, reporting directly to the Senior Regional Director of stores.


The successful candidate will work closely with the store managers, retail operations, people development, and client experience functions.


The Role


* Lead, inspire and develop a team of store managers to achieve business goals and deliver outstanding performance.
* Drive sales growth and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) through strategic planning and commercial execution.
* Ensure that brand presentation, visual merchandising, and storytelling standards are consistently elevated across all stores.
* Champion a culture focused on people and client experience, ensuring customers remain at the heart of every interaction.
* Oversee operational excellence across stores, ensuring efficiency in processes, compliance, cost control, and stock management.
* Partner effectively with internal departments and stakeholders, fostering collaboration and transparent communication.
* Analyse business performance, interpret P&L data, and implement actions to optimise profitability and productivity.
* Maintain market awareness by monitoring trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth.


Requirements


* Proven experience either of a high turnover flagship as store director or General Manager, or in a multi-site retail management role of London stores within premium or lifestyle brands.
* Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on coaching, team development, and performance management.
* Demonstrated ability to drive commercial results through data analysis and strategic decision-making.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
* Strong operational expertise, including retail processes, stock management, and loss prevention.
* Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional in-store experiences.
* Highly organised, adaptable, and results-driven, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
* Strong understanding of market dynamics and an omni-channel retail mindset.
