About the Role:
* We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development professional to join our team in Europe, focused on expanding our CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) business across both Drug Substance (DS) and Drug Product (DP) segments. This role is pivotal in driving strategic growth by engaging with biotech companies and large pharmaceutical clients across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively identify and reach out to potential biotech and pharmaceutical clients across Europe.
* Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers in target companies.
* Conduct client meetings, presentations, and follow-ups to convert leads into opportunities.
* Attend and represent the company at Europe-centric CDMO conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
* Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies relevant to CDMO services.
* Provide regular updates to the global BD team on client engagements, opportunity pipeline, and market feedback.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (technical, regulatory, project management) to ensure alignment on client needs and proposals.
* Monitor revenue generation from the region and track phasing of deals to ensure business continuity.
* Support forecasting and strategic planning for the European market.
* Contribute to the development of regional strategies to grow the CDMO footprint in Europe.
* Identify partnership opportunities and strategic alliances to enhance service offerings.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or related field.
* 2-5 years of experience in business development within the CDMO or pharmaceutical industry.
* Strong understanding of DS and DP development and manufacturing processes.
* Proven track record of client acquisition and revenue generation in the European market.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Willingness to travel across Europe for client meetings and industry events.
Preferred Attributes:
* Existing network within biotech and pharma sectors in Europe.
* Multilingual capabilities (especially German, French, or Spanish) are a plus.
