Assistant Bar Manager ***luxury hotel***

We are seeking a talented and motivated Assistant Bar
Manager to support the leadership of our vibrant and innovative bar within
our lovely 5-star hotel. Working alongside the Bar Manager, you will help
ensure seamless day-to-day operations, uphold exceptional service standards,
and inspire a skilled team of bartenders. This role reports directly to the Director of Bars and works closely with the Food & Beverage team.

Location: The Rubens at the Palace Hotel, Victoria

Employment Type: Full-time

Working Pattern: Shift work (5 days on, 2 days
off)







Salary: Up to £40,000 (including service)

The Rubens at the Palace Hotel part of the Red Carnation Hotels, is a stunning five star property located in the heart of London’s Victoria and within walking distance of Buckingham Palace. This wonderful hotel has been fully refurbished and features 161 individually designed bedrooms and suites, as well as a range of Food and Beverage outlets including The English Grill Restaurant, The Curry Room Restaurant, The New York Bar, The Palace Lounge and Champagne Bar, as well as 9 well equipped function rooms.

Key Responsibilities of an Assistant Bar Manager:

* Support the Bar Manager in the
daily operations of the bar, ensuring smooth service and operational
excellence.
* Lead by example in delivering
exceptional guest service and consistently maintaining high standards.
* Assist with staff supervision,
training, and development, helping to nurture a positive and performance-driven
team culture.
* Contribute ideas for menu
innovation and seasonal beverage offerings in collaboration with the Bar
Manager.
* Ensure the bar is well-stocked,
clean, and compliant with health and safety standards at all times.
* Monitor and report on stock
usage, waste, and ordering needs.
* Step up to lead the team in the
Bar Manager’s absence.
* Build strong relationships with
guests, responding to feedback and creating a welcoming, luxury experience.

What are we looking for?

* Previous experience as a Senior
Bartender or Assistant Bar Manager, ideally in a high-end or luxury hospitality
environment.
* A team player with natural
leadership ability and a hands-on approach to service.
* Strong knowledge of cocktails,
spirits, wines, and modern bar trends.
* Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills with a guest-focused mindset.
* Organised, proactive, and
detail-oriented with a passion for hospitality.
* Ability to remain calm and
professional under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
