Formica is the UK’s only laminate manufacturer with the site based in North Shields, Tyne and Wear, whilst Arpa is a leading laminate manufacturer in Italy.

The UK is Formica Group/Arpa’s biggest market and therefore biggest opportunity. The goal for Formica/Arpa Specification Team is to be the number one specified laminate products in the UK.

Role Description

The Specification Sales Manager London will be responsible for gaining specification of the Arpa, Formica, FENIX, Homapal & Getacore range of products through engagement with Architects / Interior Designers / Specifiers. As a result, obtaining the required project information and pass over Fabrication details to the Formica Field Sales Team who follow up with our direct customers to close the sale.

Objectives are:

·Contribute to exceeding the Commercial Team’s UK and Ireland annual revenue target

·Gain ‘share of wallet’ against our competitors with the key Architects / Interior Designers / Specifiers in your area

·Maintain and develop existing customer relationships, as well as forming new customer relationships

·Follow up sample requests

·Organise and books your own meetings / CPDs / L&Ls managing your diary effectively

·Manage your ‘opportunity pipeline’ in Sales Force

·Reporting proactively into the business - through Sales Force and line manager

·Attend events at the UK production site in North Shields, Tyne and Wear

Requirements of the role:

·4 days out a week visiting customers, 1 day admin

·Occasional nights away in hotels when required

·Exchanging information with colleagues and customers across various departments

·Structured in your working day

·Self-motivated

·Accurate input of data into Sales Force

.To grow within the role to achieve given KPIs

Candidates must be located to cover central London.

Qualifications

* Proven experience in specification sales within the construction industry
* Excellent knowledge of architectural products, materials, and construction methods
* Strong network and relationships with architects, designers, contractors, and other industry professionals
* Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
* Self-motivated and able to work independently
* Ability to travel to meet with clients and attend industry events as needed
