Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in various accounting software, including Excel and Xero.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
* Manage accounts payable processes to ensure timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
* Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
* Prepare budgets and forecasts, providing insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making.
* Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that drive business performance.
* Supervise the finance team, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
* Conduct regular audits of financial processes to identify areas for improvement.
* Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare necessary documentation for tax filings.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within a finance department.
* Strong knowledge of financial management principles and accounting standards.
* Proficiency in accounting software such as Excel, Xero, or similar platforms.
* Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear reporting and collaboration with stakeholders.
* A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are advantageous but not mandatory.
