Main duties of the job
The Senior Care Assistant will be responsible for monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in the person-centred care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, and undertaking staff supervisions. They will also act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals.

About the role
Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Other responsibilities will include:
* Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changes impacting care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and records are updated accordingly.
* Being involved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
* Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
* Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development where required.
* Acting as a key contact for residents, relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated appropriately.
About you
To be successful, you should embody our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable. Our ideal candidate must:
* Hold an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
* Have at least 2 years of experience working in a similar care environment.
* Possess effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Have a positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
* Be responsive and flexible to a range of responsibilities.

* A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
