Base Location
This is a site‑based role. You will be required on site five days a week across the mainland, with potential on the Isle of Lewis from time to time.

£43,704 – £51,484 per annum plus a residential relocation allowance if applicable, and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern
Permanent, Full‑time, Site‑Based.
Role
Ensure site activities are carried out safely, in accordance with programme and desired quality. Supervise cabling installation, duct installation, joint bay construction, horizontal directional drilling, cable installation and jointing along an 85km on‑land route between Beauly and Dundonnell on the West coast of Scotland.
Responsibilities
* Represent SSEN Transmission on‑site as a key point of contact, ensuring suppliers meet contractual requirements and SSEN policies.
* Measure completed works against works information for payment purposes and manage compensation events.
* Execute the project in accordance with statutory and legal obligations, health and safety, CDM regulations, quality & technical compliance, personnel and industrial relations.
* Work closely with contractors and the Operations team to deliver the works on programme, safely and responsibly.
* Act as a leader on site and champion a positive safety culture. Ensure site activities comply with planning consents and SHE legislation, and submit routine reports and KPIs to the Project Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
* A solid understanding of engineering and construction practices, including site safety and compliance with CDM regulations.
* Experience in site supervision or construction on complex infrastructure or utilities projects; underground cabling experience is an advantage.
* Knowledge of project planning, monitoring progress and implementing inspection and test plans to ensure quality.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to track site progress and issues, and represent the project team internally and externally.
Driving Licence
A full current driving licence is essential due to the requirement to travel to and from various work locations.
