Interim Events Manager (3-Month Contract)

We are looking for an experienced Interim Events Manager to join a client on a short-term contract to lead the planning and coordination of a major event scheduled for spring 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and organised events professional who can take ownership of a key project and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
The Interim Events Manager will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing event plans to ensure the successful delivery of a high-profile event in spring 2026. Working closely with colleagues across communications, marketing, and stakeholder teams, you will manage all planning stages and ensure deadlines are met.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Developing a detailed event plan, timeline, and budget
2. Liaising with internal teams and external partners, suppliers, and venues
3. Coordinating logistics including catering, staging, AV, and delegate management
4. Supporting marketing and communications around the event
5. Managing risk assessments, health and safety considerations, and contingency plans
6. Providing regular progress updates and reporting to senior management
About You
You are an experienced events professional who can quickly adapt and take control of a complex project. You will have:
7. Proven experience in planning and delivering large-scale events
8. Excellent organisational and project management skills
9. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
10. A practical, hands-on approach and ability to work under pressure
11. Knowledge of event logistics, supplier management, and on-site coordination
12. The ability to hit the ground running and work independently
