We are currently recruiting Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to support EYFS classes across primary schools in Ellesmere Port.
With this being an extremely busy period, there is a high demand for EYFS specialists, making it a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience ahead of September.
The Role
1. Teaching within Nursery or Reception classes
2. Delivering engaging, play-based learning
3. Supporting children as they prepare to transition into KS1
4. Creating a nurturing, structured and stimulating environment
5. Building strong routines and supporting early development
What We’re Looking For
6. ECTs with (or working towards) QTS
7. Experience within EYFS (placements included)
8. Understanding of the EYFS framework
9. Confidence supporting transition into KS1

Job Specification
An EYFS Teacher works in day nurseries and also nursery or reception classes in infant or primary schools.
The development areas typically covered by EYFS teachers include:
15. Personal, social and emotional development
16. Literacy

20. Physical development
21. Expressive arts and design.
As an EYFS teacher you’ll be expected to:
22. Hold QTS status
23. Teach all areas of the Early Years Statutory Framework
24. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a safe and positive teaching environment
25. Plan and prepare activities that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within their class
26. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation;
27. Maintain discipline
28. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
29. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, and supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
30. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
31. Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
32. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly in smaller schools and day-nurseries.
