Job Description
Are you looking for a chance to earn some extra money in your spare time working flexible hours? Or perhaps you're interested in exploring a career as a Support Worker?
How Relief Hours Work
It's similar to a zero-hour contract but without the drawbacks:
* You choose when to work.
* Receive the same training as permanent staff towards professional qualifications.
* These contracts are offered to suit your availability.
* Over 95% of our staff are on permanent contracts, and support is available to transition to one when ready.
* Enjoy job security and opportunities for career development.
The flexible hours (Bank) post supports permanent rota staff by filling shifts due to leave, training, or absences. Your manager will aim to balance service needs with your work/life balance.
You will support adults with learning disabilities living in their own house in St Albans. Here’s what a service user, Sarah, has to say about her support needs:
* Use wheelchair to go out into town, swim, horse ride, go for coffee, or relax at home doing activities like cooking or arts and crafts.
Sarah is a fun, enthusiastic individual who enjoys interaction and movement. She looks forward to working with you to support her in her daily routines, helping her thrive.
This role offers a chance to make a real difference. No two days are the same!
Note: We are currently unable to offer sponsorships as we await further guidance from the Home Office. Applications requiring sponsorship cannot be considered at this time. We appreciate your understanding.
