A well-respected secondary school in Chorley is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team from 1st December 2025 to cover a period of maternity leave.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students across a range of subjects and year groups, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your role will involve:
* Supporting students with their learning, both in and out of the classroom
* Assisting in the preparation of classroom materials
* Working with individuals or small groups to provide tailored support
* Helping to manage classroom behaviour and engagement
* Supporting students with additional needs where required
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with secondary-aged children (preferred)
* A caring, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting learning
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
* Relevant qualifications or training (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
