We're currently seeking experienced and ambitious Commercial Practitioner/Commercial Officer professionals to work with our client in a secure environment, supporting challenging projects.
This contract role requires security clearance prior to assignment. Opportunities are available in Cheltenham.
You will work across various internal projects and teams, building relationships, managing workflows, and creating commercial solutions. You will also support commercial activities through policy creation, audits, and data analysis to inform decision-making. Unique projects will allow you to showcase your skills.
Demonstrating responsiveness, efficiency, and professionalism is essential. You will support team members at all levels, facilitate the fulfillment of goods and services, and oversee contract delivery by monitoring KPIs, driving cost reductions, and benefits. Your responsibilities include requirements capture, tender coordination, and contract management, applying high commercial standards. Strong influencing, negotiation, continuous improvement, and operational skills are required.
People skills are vital for mentoring and knowledge sharing. An enthusiastic approach to challenges and problem-solving will help you address issues and identify new opportunities to enhance customer offerings.

Your qualifications, experience, skills, and behaviors include:
* Experience in procurement, supplier management, contract management, sourcing, commercial operations, supply chain, invoicing
* Strong relationships with customers, suppliers, colleagues
* Knowledge of category management for cost reductions and efficiencies
* Ability to prioritize in complex, competing activities
Ideally, you also have experience in purchasing, bill management, and digital/technology environments.
You should:
* Hold or be willing to attain a professional commercial qualification such as CIPS Level 5 or equivalent
