This role is a Design Quality Engineer / Engineering Checker which is responsible for ensuring engineering output is accurate, consistent and compliant with customer specifications, internal standards and statutory regulations. Suited to an experienced mechanical engineering professional from a sheet metal or steel fabrication background, the position requires strong attention to detail, excellent knowledge of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes, and a proactive approach to quality and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Review and approve 3D models, engineering drawings, BOMs and technical documentation for accuracy, manufacturability and compliance with standards. Carry out tolerance stack analysis checks to ensure products remain functional, compliant and manufacturable. Maintain and improve engineering drawing standards in line with BS 8888:2017 and ISO 9001 procedures. Support the reduction of NCRs and drawing-related errors through detailed checking processes and constructive feedback to engineers. Collaborate with engineering, production and commercial teams to support project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.Requirements: Proven experience in reviewing and approving Technical Engineering drawings.
