Outreach Tutor (SEN and SEMH Support)
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Outreach Tutor to deliver bespoke 1:1 education packages to young people in Buckinghamshire who are currently not attending school.
As an Outreach Tutor, you will create, plan and deliver tailored English and Maths lessons up to GCSE level, helping to bridge gaps in learning, raise attainment, and rebuild confidence. This role is ideal for a qualified teacher or experienced tutor who wishes to move away from a traditional classroom setting and make a real difference.
You will work with students who may have Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, or complex behavioural challenges. Your role will be to re-engage them in education, establish positive learning relationships, and provide structure, encouragement and consistency.
Prospero Teaching will provide ongoing support, guidance and monitoring to ensure both you and your learners make meaningful progress.

Contract type: Temporary
Full time/part time: Flexible - part time and full time available
Minimum rate of pay: From £25 per hour
Hours: Sessions typically range from 1 to 3 hours per dayEXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
Proven experience supporting learners with SEN, SEMH or complex behaviour
Strong knowledge of English and Maths curriculum up to GCSE level
A minimum of 6 months' experience working in a UK educational setting
Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but can be provided)TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold the Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one)
Provide two professional, child-related references covering the last two yearsOTHER INFORMATION
