As a Microsoft Solutions Partner, this organisation specialises in Cloud Services, Managed IT Support, Cyber Security and Software Development. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced 3rd Line IT Microsoft Support Engineer to join a skilled technical team in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
You will play a key role in delivering and supporting Microsoft cloud, server, and desktop solutions, contributing to technical projects and providing high-level support to a wide range of clients. The role is based in the UK Midlands and involves travel to client sites across the UK, primarily within the Midlands.
What we need from you:
At least 2 years experience working in a Technical Support role within an MSP environment
Minimum education level of A-Level or equivalent
At least one professional certification, such as Microsoft 365 or Azure Administrator (e.g. MS-102, AZ-104 or similar)
Experience working with third-party service providers or vendors (e.g. internet service providers or software vendors)
Experience leading the delivery of IT projects, preferably within a managed service provider environment
Strong experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft desktop operating systems
Professional and customer-focused, with experience working in complex multi-site IT environments using RMM and ticketing tools
Full UK driving licence
You must be able to confidently perform the following tasks:
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft desktop operating systems
Perform tenant configuration and manage users, shares, and devices within Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Endpoint
Configure and support Microsoft Azure servers and virtual infrastructure
Install and support antivirus solutions, preferably Webroot or Microsoft Defender
Install and support backup solutions, preferably Datto or Azure Backup
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Server operating systems
Support and troubleshoot hypervisors, e.g. Microsoft Hyper-V, with an understanding of virtualisation concepts
Perform basic firewall setup and troubleshoot firewall rules and policies
Understand zero trust and least-privilege security principles
Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Hours: Working full time, 37.5 hours per week. Core operational hours are 8am 6pm. With some out of hours working on a rota.
