We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Progress coach to join our Engineering department to support students on our full-time study programmes. Based at Abingdon & Witney College, you will play a key role in helping learners track and monitor their progress throughout their course.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people, particularly those studying at Entry Level 3, Level 1, and Level 2, to reach their full potential. You will be instrumental in guiding and inspiring the next generation of engineers and industry professionals.
Working closely with teaching staff, you will support students in achieving their qualifications and developing key employability and life skills. A core part of the role is to ensure successful progression, whether that's to higher-level courses, apprenticeships, higher education, or employment. As such, strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Responsibilities
As a Progress Coach, your key responsibilities will include:
* Monitoring and tracking student progress across their study programme
* Conducting regular 1:1 progress reviews with students to set goals and identify support needs
* Supporting students with personal development, behaviour, and welfare
* Working collaboratively with teaching and support staff to ensure students are engaged and making expected progress
* Encouraging high levels of attendance, punctuality, and commitment
* Providing information, advice, and guidance to support students' progression to further study, apprenticeships, or employment
* Supporting the delivery of enrichment activities and employability skills development
* Maintaining accurate records and contributing to reporting processes as required
Why Work With Us?
Excellent benefits for our employees including generous pension and holiday schemes (with potential Christmas closure days), continued professional development, flexible working options, corporate gym membership, cycle/tech scheme and much more.
* Abingdon and Witney College reserve the right to close all applications before posted closing date

Abingdon and Witney College are committed to safer recruitment practices. In addition to our pre-employment checks, we will conduct an online search. This includes checking Google main results feed as well as the 'News' and 'Images' tab. We will be checking for any publicly available information that suggests the applicant may not be suitable to work with children or young/vulnerable people or content that could potentially damage Abingdon and Witney College's reputation. This may include inappropriate posts, comments or images displaying evidence of offensive or inappropriate behaviour, jokes or language, discriminatory comments, inappropriate photos, drug or alcohol misuse.
