Description The Anglian Water Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) project currently involves the planning, design and construction of circa 320km of new strategic, large diameter, clean water interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure across Anglian Water’s region. The SPA Alliance is also taking on responsibility for the future interconnector pipelines, a further 260km of strategic interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure. This role is site based. LI-KP1 Responsibilities Day to day site quality assurance, including surveying, setting out duties, quality checks and approvals. Implement policies, procedures and statutory legal regulations paying specific attention to HSE legislation. Supporting the Site Manager to liaise with the Engineering and Integration team to resolve engineering conflicts and ensure work is carried out in line with specifications, digital models and drawings. Assisting the site management teams with all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management, liaising with commercial, procurement and planning teams and supply chain management. Supporting the Site Manager in material take off’s, stock control etc. and liaising with procurement team to ensure orders are not exceeded without authority. Highlight any areas of concern before they become an issue. Ensure programme, quality and budget assurances are met. Always explore alternatives to identify better ways of delivery the project. Look to minimise waste by ordering the required materials to optimise project performance. Generate temporary works design briefs to a standard accepted by the Temporary Works Coordinator Review designs and raise technical queries to the design teams. Generate, review and submit red-line drawings for works packages to the design teams. Update the project 4 week lookahead programme weekly for your section. Manage and co-ordinate any clashes with other site works. Record progress and compare it to planned production for your section. Communicate this progress with relevant stakeholders. Understand the design specifications and drawings for your section. Produce Inspection and Test Plans for your works and ensure effective implementation Produce and manage materials approvals for your works. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Construction industry experience Previous water industry experience Experience of working on large complex sites Experience of setting out and recording ‘as builts’ Experience of maintaining records Understanding of engineering principles and construction techniques Health and safety focused with an ability to spot hazards and challenge behaviours on site Conscientious with attention to detail Collaborative and able to work with others Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications Good understanding of engineering principles and construction techniques Able to complete detailed site records of activities completed on site inclusive of quantities Qualifications Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Supervisors Card EUSR National Water Hygiene Standards ‘Blue Card’ First Aid at Work New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) Supervisors Full UK Driving Licence
